The Northwest AMA Control-Line Regionals are to be held at the Albany Municipal Airport, Albany, Oregon begining Friday May 31 through Sunday June 2, 2002. There will be speed, Carrier, Mouse Racing, Slow Rat Race, Old-Time and Classic Stunt, Precision Aerobatics, 80mph combat, fast combat scale, 1/2a combat, goodyear and some NW events. It is my understanding that this is one of the largest control-line meets in the country, nationals excepted. So if you are interested, fly your bird to the event, there are motels off the north end of the runway, so I understand, and get acquainted with some of the guys. I flew in the early 50's and again in the mid-late 70's. Would you believe there are some flyers I knew then who are still flying now. I have dusted off an old profile stunter after 25 years and am preparing to show those guys a rusty stunt pattern. Would you believe It is still a kick to do a reverse wingover, inverted flight and outside square loops? Bob Smiley N94RJ
