Rick,
Not to belittle (so to speak) los
mountanous but my LNC2 and heavy pax have had great fun in the mountains west of
Denver. I know there have been hundreds of forboding books on the topic
(all very good information). One delightful attribute you have over most
mountain danger discussions is excess HP. One piece of data that did have
relevance was surface winds. Anything over about 15 kts and we shy'd
away. This caused heavy chop. So our usual plan was to go
early in the am, keep the speed up, and always keep a flat spot in view.
Don't forget Lee Behl is looking for guys
like you to run the Reno Sport class. I'm sure the parking would be
cheap : )
