Go to Lowe's (H-D as a last resort) and check out the plastic shower liners
(4x8 sheet about 3/32" thick) in the paneling section. It has a bumpy,
orange peel surface on one side and smooth on the back. Place the bumpy side
down. It is just soft enough that it yields to the "pizza cutter" and gives
perfect cuts. Use it also for your lay-up table surface, just remember to
clean it off with acetone or whatever solvent you use (might want to test it
first).

After you finish your project, you might even be able to use the shower
liner for what it was originally designed for.
