What are you folks using for the surfaces of cutting tables?  Does
the same sort of material work just as well for layup tables or
should I use something else for that?

I've checked local hardware stores and can't find anything suitable.
Most of the materials offered seem too hard.  Surely somewhere in the
Houston area someone stocks something suitable, but if not I'm willing
to mail-order.
