If you want to reduce the cost somewhat, look at eBay for new or
reconditioned units (now to be found under eBay Motors, rather confusingly).
The 430s seem to go anywhere from $5,500 to $6,500 depending on condition
and who else is bidding.  There are fewer 340s, but I have seen them there.
They often have 530s as well.  Don't forget you will need a 14/28 volt
converter to power a 430 or a 530.  I got both my 430 and a new converter on
eBay for a considerable saving.

The other advantage is that you can install them yourself without running
into Garmin's policy of only selling to you if a dealer does the
installation, which can add considerably to the cost.
