We've been looking at engines recently, for our 235 kit. We want to go up in size and were looking at a 320 A. We have the Dynalphocal [sp] mount but the engine has the conical. Whats the best route to go , should we buy the engine and change the mount? or Find a different engine? We have all the Engine isolator mounts [ Lord??] for the Dyno. Can this mount be modified to fit the Conical? Does Lancair still sell the engine mounts for these older airframes? Also, whats the limiting factor for putting the 360 in a 235? I've been told it can't be done.. but I'm not sure why.. just curious as I have one sitting in my Back yard [figuratively]. What about props? The 320 comes firewall forward w/ a Harzell constant speed prop.. is it worth it? Is it gonna weigh to much? Thanks for your help in advance.
