Paul Kapcin:  No kidding!  I got mine from my local ACE Hardware store.
Just looked for a larger gage spring of the same dimensions as the springs
supplied in the kit.  No corrosion; no adjustments and no problem holding
altitude and trim at every flight speed for more than 200 hours. Only
alteration I made was to thread the aft end of the center rod and place a
fabric locking nut on that end to initially adjust the pressure on the
