In the test flight phase, triggering the com at certain frequencies did indeed set off the ELT. Investigation revealed that the ELT antenna was mounted too close to the com antenna in the tail (within two feet). I moved the ELT antenna forward (just inside and forward of the aft compartment access panel) and have had no problems since. Doug Johnson N654DM
