Would you have spoken as loudly against the ability of the transistor to replace tube technology? That was a major change in thought that allowed a tremendous leap in capability vs. cost. Are you saying that no such further technological leaps are possible, therefore we should summarily dismiss leading edge products (ps. your own product may fall into such a category). Please don't be so naive as to think that just because something costs less it isn't as good. When Acura and Lexus introduced cars, they cost a whole lot less than Cadillacs and Lincolns - should we have all refused to consider them as good products because they were cheaper (and it wasn't a volume game then either).
