Hi,
According to my MT prop manual, the prop defaults to flat pitch with the
loss of hydraulic pressure.
Question: how long with the prop gov maintain the 'trapped' pressure
after engine stoppage (pressure which holds the blades in coarse pitch)?
And assuming the gov is in good condition.
I understand if one inadvertently moves the prop control after engine
stoppage, you have shortened the glide distance considerably since the
blades will return to flat pitch.
I welcome comments! Earl
