I'll "second" Wendell's recommendation to stop by Diamondhead, Ms., 66Y with
a  4000 ft asphalt lighted runway.  I "flew" my minivan over there this past
weekend to visit Wendell's Legacy project.  He gave me the grand tour not
only of his project, but also essentially the entire airport community.  He
is coming along quite well with his Legacy.  I'm grateful for his
hospitality and the opportunity to meet a friendly and diverse bunch of
aviation enthusiasts working on a variety of aircraft endeavors.  Next time
I reckon I'll make the 180 mile trip in the local C172.  Now if I could just
talk my family into moving .... aaahhh, to dream of your Lancair hangared in
your backyard ...
