Has anyone ever seen geese that high? I took a bird strike at 18,000' just north of Dallas in 1965 while flying a Viscount for CAL. We were indicating 280kts, and bam, started shaking like h**l! CAVU but we never did see it. It had to go right through the 3 & 4 prop arcs because it hit on the right horizontal stab and completely destroyed the leading edge anti-icing duct. It was ripped wide open and feathers everwhere. Scary!
