Hi Tom,  I've got a Quincy 60 gal, 5 hp that I've been using for many years.
It's a real workhorse and relatively quiet as compressors go. It's one of
the old style slow turn, belt drive, cast iron rigs.  When I was doing my
paint prep sanding we sometimes had two DA sanders at once operating from
the compressor and it kept up!  It's made in Illinois but I got mine through
Harbor Freight. It wasn't real cheap but it sure has lasted and done the
job.
