I'm going to builder assist weeks starting at the end of April. I certainly
agree that an additional 20-40 gallons would be welcome. Based on standing
within established W&B, I don't think many people could carry that much
baggage and fuel.

125 gal X 6.7# = 837.5
pilot and  pass = 300#
baggage         =  100#

total                 = 1237.5#

Using advertised useful of 1350#, this leaves 112.5#, which translates to
slightly less than 17 gallons. Even that would be an additional 1/2 hr. at
economy cruise. Since I am going into this from the start, I welcome all
input on ways to increase fuel capacity. Obviously, less baggage would make
it "legal", but given the choice between being mildly overgross during
takeoff and initial climb (assuming good runway length and smooth air) and
flying into uncertain wx with less than comfortable reserves, I know what I
would choose. Afterall, they are experimental.

I would be very interested in further info regarding addtional in-wing fuel
or aux tanks that anyone has tried.
