I'm in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Look in the Yellow Pages under, Solvents, Chemicals, Scientific Supplies. Many suppliers of Methylene Chloride do not sell small quantities but may know who does. Many years ago there were small operations in most large cities who would repackage Chemicals in 1 and 5 gal. containers and sell to the small users. Spend some time on the phone, since you may find one of these suppliers who will sell at a much lower price or save you a bundle on shipping. If you buy one of the Automatic Sealing Dispensers from Lancair (buy 2 and have some Acetone to wash brushes with) a gallon of M/C will last a long time. Also plan to store the gallon can in the coolest location you can find, just not under your house or in a refrigerator with food. The vapor pressure is so high that it will really bloat a can if it gets warm. My guess is, Lancair does not use M/C in their shop due to ventilation or maybe OSHA Regs.. So, how do I use it in the winter with my shop tightly insulated? I crack a door, set my 3" Shop Vac (vented outside) Hose next to the part that is too big to drag outside, hold my breath and throw the used towel 1/3rds outside asap. Next morning I run a couple of fans for about 10 min. to get a fresh change of air without cooling it off too much, gets rid of Epoxy Vapors too.
