I built my 320 from 1989 to 1996 using the procedure of lacquer thiner (grease/wax/finger-print removal), acetone (hardware store grade), sand, acetone, and finally bond. The wipes were done with paper towel, frequently changed to not wipe the contaminant around on the surface. This was done on each and every joint of a slow-build, no-capstrip constructed aircraft thats been flown to VNE and back and sometimes loaded to 1960 lbs gross -- no failures or delaminations yet. No fuel leaks, delaminations in the nose gear tunnel at the actuator attach point and no delamination of the main gear over-center to spar attachment point -- Of course, I have no quality-controlled fast build parts either. So, I have prepared myself for everything to fall apart during the next flight, hard landing, or prop strike because of my totally incompetent assembly process. Reagent grade acetone. Really! Grayhawk - preparing for my flight with the angels.
