I know we've re-hashed this a thousand times, but have any of you tried Aviation Insurance Corp? 877-661-1799.  I have my Glasair insured with them, and not only will they insure it, it was HALF of what Avemco had quoted me.  I have a 10% deductible, and I can certainly live with that.  I am a 400 hour instrument rated pilot.  I have 55K hull coverage, 1 Mil liability and my policy cost me around 1600 bucks. If anyone thinks they may be fly-by-night, they are underwritted by AIG (huge ins company).
