Before I checked out in the SR-71 I flew the original U-2 (A model) for 9 years. We had a coffin corner in that plane that was awesome and a real barrier to relaxed flight. At altitude we had less than 10 knots difference between stall and Mach tuck. With a flight duration of anything from 8 to 10 hours, it held your attention. The current U-2 models have a larger envelope, but not by much, and their flight duration can be longer.
