Bob Knuckolls is correct.  I built in 3 dimmer circuits -- lighted switches,
instruments and radios and cold-light panel flood.  The switch lights were a
different intensity than the instruments and the flood is on the essential
bus.  This was not enough!  Jim Frantz's AOA, added later, is supplied with
its own dimmer - needed during the day when other lights are off and a
recently added S-TEC GPSS which, without adding a rheostat, would burn a hole
in your retina at night.  So, I'm up to five.
