February 11, 2002 (Redmond, OR) - Lancair International, Inc. recently
announced their latest version of their ES Fastbuild kit, which includes
many dramatic enhancements.  In addition, the company now offers their
two-week Builder?s Workshop program for ES customers with these new kits.
This combination enables customers to build a Lancair ES in significantly
less time than ever before.  The Lancair ES is a four-place, fixed-gear,
composite aircraft offering 225 mph cruise speeds. Introduced in 1993, the
ES boasts a well-proven design that has earned one of the best safety
records in the industry.

?Right out of the crate, the new & improved ES wing package now has
installed tie downs, fuel caps, fuel return/pickup fittings, vents and fuel
tank sealer along with other elements formerly left to the builder? said
company representative, Kim Lorentzen.  The lower wing skin has also been
fitted and ?released? to accommodate quick and easy wing completion.

?We have had such great success with our Builders Workshops for the Lancair
IV and Legacy aircraft that it was just a matter of time until we offered it
for the ES,? says Lorentzen.  ?The program runs $4,000 per week and receives
praise from virtually all who attend.  Our Workshop participants not only
learn all the basics of advanced composite construction, they also get a lot
done including completion of both wings with installed flaps and ailerons,
and completion of the horizontal stabilizer and elevators in just the first
week.  During the second week builders assemble the fuselage, and install
all windows, the Fastbuild door package and other internal items.?

If one participates in the Builders Workshop and takes advantage of
Lancair?s Fastbuild Firewall Forward and Fastbuild Avionics packages, the
new & improved ES kit can be completed in as little as 700 hours.

Lancair will have the new ES kit on Display at Sun ?n Fun 2002 in Lakeland,
FL.

Founded in 1984 by Lance Neibauer, Lancair has become one of the most
successful kit manufacturers in the world.  The company manufactures the
world?s fastest piston-driven aircraft, and holds several world speed
records as well as championships in most major cross-country air races.  For

Note the following are installed:  fuel tank sealer, tie downs, fuel caps,
fuel return/pickup fittings, and fuel vents.  The ailerons and flaps are
finished and the wing skin is ready to be glued on.
