The IO-550G and IO-550N have a tuned induction intake system. The
throttle body, plenum, and intake manifold are on top of the engine,
with the exhaust on the bottom. All the other Continentals have the
intake system beneath the engine, so they probably won't fit in the
Legacy cowl. If you are looking for a used Contintal, the newer 550s are
installed in some Mooneys, Cirrus and the Columbia 300.
