I find that a single light off in the distance looks like just another star and there is no distance awareness. Lights on the wingtips make the plane far more visible, I find. Alternately flashing them is probably better yet. I haven't got it all figured out yet, but I would also like to put two taxi lights in the underside of the wing root fairing angled slightly out. Anyone done this? This would light up the back side of the prop some, but I would think not too bad.
