I hate to be disagreeable, but in this instance I'm afraid I must. Jim
Frantz has called our e-glas airplanes "flying dielectrics" more than once,
and static wicks can certainly help the situation in an e-glas
airframe. They do not need to be mounted with conductive epoxy but all the
wicks must be tied together with grounding straps, and those straps must
also be bonded to the ac ground bus. Bill Maddox sells all the supplies,
talk to him about it at 509-932-4445. Especially if you're planning on
flying your e-glas LNC2 in situations that can induce static
buildup. Wicks will work.
