We have put a lot of thought into whether the Dogwood Lancair fly-in should go on. We do not want to disrespect the memories of so many people, including 8 of our colleagues. On the other hand, if we allow them to change our way of life, the sons of bitches win. We have talked with many of you and without exception the opinion has been to carry on with the fly-in.

As of this writing (2130 Wednesday night) the government still has the airspace shut down with no definite word on when it will be open to general aviation or what restrictions may be in place when it opens.

Providing that general aviation VFR flight is permitted, we will hold the fly-in as scheduled. If the airspace is not open, we will of course be forced to cancel. We hope to have enough information Thursday night to make the call. Please email or call us if you have any further information or questions. The weather forecasts look perfect here this weekend. We hope that we can see all of you Saturday.
