I asked Rod Machodo what he thought about the 10 day instrument courses when he was out at Travis AFB a few months ago for a safety seminar, and he said he would recommend them for the simple reason that they hire top notch instructors.  I haven't started my instrument training either, but will probably do the 10 day course.
