Cross over the runway perpendicular to the runway at 1000 ft. Start a 270 deg. turn either left or right as appropriate. Establish a power off descent at best glide speed and alter the circle as required to terminate the descent with your aim point at the first 25 percent of the runway length. This gives you the most options to correct any judgement, wind or other problems that may develope.
