I have a Lancair IV P that was built using the Neico fuel selector valve provided with purchase of the kit. I have discovered that at altitude (>FL120), under pressurized cabin conditions, that if I switch tanks using it I suffer a temporary engine stall that can last for a few seconds. We have tried various remedies such as tightening, checking lines for leaks and taking flex fuel lines and where they are looped up, lay them flat so they don't accumulate air at their tops. Some how, it seems air was getting in the lines that wasn't showing up until the tank is selected after flying to altitude using the other wing tank. A fellow builder of a IV P discovered that when he checked his fuel selector valve he discovered a leak and switched out to an Andair, LTD fuel selector valve and it fixed the problem that he was also having. Checking with Lancair, they now have different fuel selector valves in stock. Anyone else had a similar experience? I am interested in what make and model of fuel selector valve to go with as I am considering replacing the fuel selector valve in my IV P whether I can find a leak or not. The belief is that it is letting air in the unselected wing in flight and pushing the fuel back thru the line back to the wing under pressurized conditions. Thanks, Ben. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
