In the flight levels I have found that running LOP puts CHT's about 40 degrees lower at the same power settings. Above FL 200 I have trouble keeping CHT's below 400 ROP. LOP also reduces IAS about 10 kts. Fuel flow goes down about 6 gph, from 22 to about 16 at 31" and 2400 RPM. The higher I go the hotter it runs.
