Bodily Injury:   $100,000 each person  (max available from Avemco)
Property Damage:  $1 million  (Total liability limited to $1 million each
accident)
Aircraft Damage:  $150,000 insured value
Deductible:  $10,000 both in motion and not in motion

The cost is:  Bodily Injury plus Property damage - $576 / yr.

For the same coverage from Avemco, I pay $484 / yr.

Aircraft Damage - $3,312 /yr.

For $70,000 value and $500 im & nim, I pay $1,571 / yr.

I'm a 550 hr instrument rated pilot with 100 hours in type and no accidents.
The plane did cost around $150k when I add up all the invoices (not
including labor).

I am a 1,900 hr Commercial, Instrument rated pilot also ASMEL & ASES with 300 hrs in type and with 2 nose gear incidents 1 and 2 years ago(cost Avemco $15,000 for each one).

Doubling the hull value should double the premium. The flight experience must account for the balance of the rate differential. It doesn't seem that my incidents contributed to the premium.

I also have a C340. Avemco lowered my premiums by 10% when I reached 150 hrs in multi's and another 10% at 200 hrs. You should ask them when your premiums will go down. Call them as soon as you reach the benchmarks and they will lower the rates on that very day.
