Don't bother with heat wrap. Use High Performance Coating, an aluminum
silicate exhaust elements internal and external coating.  It exhausts the
heat and protects the exhaust pipes.  The pipes last 5000 hours.  Used in
race cars.  Cost was about $10 a foot 4 years ago.  10 minutes after
landing you can touch the exhaust pipes without burning your hands.

Do not use the coating between the engine and an exhaust turbine, as the
turbine intake temperature will be too high.
