I believe it is - but not for a first time builder.  Although the Legacy
is incredibly advanced with respect to the older kits (not that I know
that from experience - don't want to anger anyone who spent a decade
finding that out on his own), there is a learning curve of which I am
in the middle of experiencing.  I guess that when it comes down to it,
I am quite confident that when I am finished with this Legacy, I
could build another in half the time, and that is a conservative estimate.

Now also one should underline the word CAN in the statement Lancair makes.
No one should grudge that they have been deceived into a seemingly endless
project when the claim is that one CAN build a Legacy in 500 hours.  Anyone
who's got the needed experience and who forks over the money for the builder's
assistance program and has the panel, engine, paint and interior done for
hire - that guy can build a legacy in 500 hours of his own time for sure!
Just keep that in mind.  If you're that guy, then I have no doubt in the
claim Lancair makes.  I'm on track to finish this Legacy in 1200 hours.  But
look at me.  I'm a first time builder who's 19.  Give me another legacy
after this one and I'll build it for you in 600 hours.  Pretty close,
huh?  :o)
