It cuts the take off roll by 30 - 40%, shortens the landing roll, and allows full power in the cruise. The prop I have was built by Bram Water's old company Airmaster (which he has since sold) and has worked flawlessly for me. Maintenence has been restricted to checking the bearings every 100 hours (no problems) and a new carbon brush block - these wear out over time as they are in constant contact with the slip rings that are fitted to the back of the flywheel. I recently tested one of his new Aerotek props, which works on a similar principle, and found it gave slightly better performance than my Airmaster, due I believe to the slimmer carbon fibre blades that he is now using. He sources these from Powerfin. I'd recommend you look at his website noted in a previous post.
