The only engine that would fit those specs is made in Germany by Wankel GMBH (yeah, the original company formed by Felix). You can buy another 3rd Gen RX-7 (whole car) for less than that engine. The Mazda is about the only rotary widely available and cheap enough to justify.

Subject: [FlyRotary] 50 HP rotary engine?

Greetings,

I've pretty much talked myself out of using the heavy 4-cyl engine that I got with my Airbike project, and am officially in the market for an engine.   I need something around 50 HP, and around 100 lb, and I'd love to find some sort of rotary engine that fits my requirements.  Does anyone know of such an engine that's currently available?

Thanks,
Rusty (remember, friends don't let friends fly 2-strokes)
