I would suggest you keep these checkvalves.  Not to prevent backflow, the pump will do that, but to prevent forward flow unless the pump is turned on.  The Facet pumps I have will flow forward whether they are on or off.  A checkvalve that requires just a little cracking pressure will prevent forward flow. High pressure positive displacement pumps don't have this problem.
