Dean,
It's just my opinion - based on a couple years' worth
of observation - but I don't think we've progressed quite
that far yet.
We have a variety of solutions that are known to work
and are reliable, but I don't think we've reached the point
of being able to declare any of them as "best practices".
Well, okay, maybe some of the steps in engine assembly,
such as vibration proofing the case bolts ...

Group,
Awhile back I had posted on the “other” group
about collecting all the assembly/design techniques, lessons learned and
related info and links in one web site. Sort of a “best practice” and
reference document. Someone responded and stated such was in existence. I
visited once, not much info. I have since lost touch with the site that was
started (don’t know if it still exists), but, I think it would be a great
reference. Paul’s site has a lot of great links to info but I was
thinking more along the lines of now proven methods and practices”. Breaking
down the document into fuel, cooling, mounting, exhaust……would be
real helpful. It appears that much of the info is in the discussions here, just
needs to be collected. Thoughts? Interest?
