The 4 had a much smaller wastegate, and Todd ported his, but = it's still probably not any bigger than the stock wastegate on the series 5. It's possible to port the 5 as well, and it would probably be a good = idea. I bought a second turbo on Ebay, and took it apart to port it, but found = the insides were so heat cracked that it wasn't worth the effort. My = assumption is that all these turbos, including yours, is the same way inside after = some use. This was the other reason I don't consider these stock turbos to = be a good choice. =20 =20 As for your lack of overboost, you mentioned in a previous message that = you haven't yet used full throttle. Boost is very controllable by throttle, = and you won't really see full boost, untill you use full throttle. Do this = very carefully, and preferably on the ground.
