Bill,
As I recall, the problem with running mogas in Lancairs was not with the Jeffco sealer, but with
the adhesive (Hysol 9339) used to close up the wings. There is a bond joint around the fuel tanks
that you can't seal with Jeffco and that's where the problem lies. I think the ethanol was the real culprit.
I don't know if this was urban legend, or if all the Lancair guys run only 100LL. I will run some
tests on the Hysol before I use mogas. I sure don't want the wings coming apart in flight.

There are some issues with mogas and epoxy tanks. We ran some test on
samples coated with the Jeffco9700 FCR , and it stood up well to a mixture
of gas and alcohol concocted to be as agressive as possible. The plain resin
(Aeropoxy 2032) swelled and flaked in short order.
The mogas without alcohol is not a problem. Alcohol alone is usually not a
problem, but the mix can have deleterious effects.
My wing tanks are coated with Jeffco but the joints to close the tanks
aren't, so i am leery of using mogas with alcohol in the tanks.
