So I think I'll just run my howling NA at 7500 rpm and TELL folks it's turbo charged :o))
You wouldn't tell, would you? .... Jim S.

Cheers,

Rusty (anybody need a  turbo?  anybody at all...  <g>)

Rusty, turbo may not make sense for you tractor guys. For us pushers it does few things:

Directs the exhaust direct where we want it without any plumbing
Acts as a very good muffler
Gives a more when we need some using the waste heat and noise
The weight difference is not much if you think hoe much an exhaust for our plane will weigh and subtract it from the weight of the turbo.
Less of an area to shield from the heat.
Makes a convenient exhaust augmenter for us pushers
And sounds so good when you say: IT IS TURBO CHARGED to folks that don’t know what is a turbo :)
