Coated the windshield instantly. I shut down immediately, and found that the cowling was on fire due to glycol hitting hot exhaust pipe. Put it out with extinguisher. Incident probably caused by much earlier testing where I was running the water pump on a test stand with plain water to determine flow rates. Although I drained the water after the test, enough remained to cause a build up of corrosion. Shipped the engine back to Bruce Turrentine and he reassembled the engine, installed new freeze plugs and had no more problems= .
