I still have the EC2 installed. I made a harness so the Fueltech can plug directly into the EC2's harness. The fueltech is very flexible so it can use the same injectors, LS1 coils, CAS, and even the EC2's control module board. That way I can easily plug and play the fueltech, or go right back to the EC2 if for some reason I cant get the Fueltech to work well. I may even keep the EC2 installed in case something happens to the Fueltech on a cross country, I can simply unplug the harness from the Fueltech and back into the EC2.
And yes, Ideally I will do the tuning with the mixture knob in the middle.

Dave slightly confused, Are you still running the EC2 in conjunction with the fueltech? I agree that a remote TPS as a mixture knob is a brilliant idea. I did have a microtech ECU which did just not “cut it” They gave me the usual potentiometer as one, but varied nothing except my bank balance. I am assuming that you do all tuning with the TPS / potentiometer at 50%?? How good a guess am I? Neil. No, the EC2 does not use a TPS and I don't have one mounted. A TPS is not really necessary in aviation use because we don't have a lot of big rapid throttle changes or throttle-RPM mismatch situations. This is the TPS adjustment table that I am going to try to start with. Fine adjustment in the middle and larger adjustments at the extremes of travel on the knob. Super easy to change the table based on what I find works best. Dave, you are a cunning boy! Do you still use one on the throttle, I suspect not? Neil. The fueltech has a programmable mixture table table to be used with a throttle position sensor(TPS) which is simply a potentiometer. So simply mount a potentiometer, tell the fueltech it is a TPS, and adjust the TPS mixture adjustment map to your liking. There you have a manual mixture knob. In fact, the EC-2's Control board returns the voltage of its 5K ohm potentiometer so I hope to simply use that one which is already mounted. It is also possible to use the micro switches in the EC2's control module to activate almost anything you want through the fueltech.
