Jeff, do you have any links for pictures of Mistral?

Neil, there are double slips on all three head tubes. And the inner tube is welded on one side and slipped on the other. Either I run with a thicker wall perforated inner pipe or try without one. Just have a large empty can.

Yep, looks like the easiest, most compact design but why flog a dead horse.  Three or four feet downstream from the exhaust ports is a much safer place for a roll-your-own muffler.

I only used 0.050"thick 321ss for the inside perforated pipe. I'm guessing I should find thicker pipe, and add more holes for version: 14 ?
