Neil : The propshaft is the same diameter outside and inside no taper at all. The 2 needle bearings is the same size. The ringear side is also a flage that is pressfit with dowls that is machine off. It looks like the same flanges on both sides of the hollow shaft. The ringear side flange is machine down in diameter to weld on the inside of the ringear Hope it make sense - propellor flange and ringear flange is the same The propellor flange has extra bolting holes inbetween the standard holes for the propellor bolts. Le Roux, Interesting engineering as before CNC. What gearing is yours and direction of prop? The prop flange is shrunk on so heat the flange of the prop shaft will aid in removal. Is there anything holding the prop shaft flange on besides the shrink fit?. How does the ring gear come off the o0ther end – or does it? Is the prop shaft tapered at all over it’s length? Thanks’ Neil. The propeller flange sits like hell and needs a 30 ton press to get it out The shaft runs in 2 needle bearings. There is a thrust bearing on the outside of the ringgear Picture included
