I used Valvoline VR1 racing oil for a while because it was advertised has having a high zinc content. I switch to Mobil 1 V-Twin after Tracy made a comment that he had been using it. I believe both oils have a high zinc content.

Thanks Bobby.
What factors influenced your choice of oil?
I had wondered if the thermal properties varied much between oils.

Venting at the center iron may not the best location. I settled on 20-50W V-Twin synthetic motorcycle oil. No indication of foaming and I always made oil.
