In case people aren't on Paul's newsletter. His son has taken over and finally (finally!!!) created an online web forum. Looking for admins and mods.
No more of these archaic newsletter formats.

Rotary Engine Technology Forum
Hello Everyone!

I hope all of you are getting these emails and staying well in this crazy new world. Thanks be to our donors, I have managed to get started on the new website forum.

https://forum.rotaryeng.net/

Please feel free to start registering, but hold off the posts please until we can set up the various forum "topics". Also, before registering (or commenting) make sure you check out the FAQ and Privacy pages. I am of course open to any suggestions for improvements. I expect it will take at least a few weeks maybe months to re-build the original newsletter discussions.

At this point I will like to "recruit" the volunteers for the following positions:

1) First Alternative Administrator: This should be someone who has the ability to code HTML. This special user will have the ability to change just about anything on the site if I am unable for some reason to continue. Administrators handle everything from announcements, to site settings, to user-groups, to user permissions and even Style-vars. In addition to this, they have all the rights of a moderator as well as those of a regular user.

2) Secondary Admin: You will not need HTML knowledge but have some ability or experience dealing with online "forums".

3) Moderator(s): Moderators are users who are put in charge of maintaining one or more channels. Moderators are appointed by the Administrators. Moderator responsibilities include deleting offensive or inappropriate posts, pruning old threads, and banning users from their channels if appropriate (my Dad would love this feature). Moderator responsibilities are “assigned” to moderators through permissions.

So if anyone wants to help out with this huge project, let me know. It will be you that will make the site grow to beyond what it was.

Regards,

Paul Lamar Jr
