Curious.. Jarrett Johnson This is tough to answer. The RV-3 firewall is about 23" wide, and I = needed the extra cowl cheek area to fit the turbo. If extra height is = available, the turbo can be put below the engine, and you could get rid = of the Spin Tech. If I had to make a guess (and this is only a guess), = I'd say about 30 of width at the firewall (tapering toward the nose) = would be the bare minimum to allow you to fit the turbo on the side of = the engine with no bumps in the cowl. Rest assured that every extra = inch will be a great relief when it comes time to fit everything under = the cowl.
