Did you use any of the stock Mazda sensors?  Where did you get the VDO
sensors?  What about your EGT sensors?  Did you install CHT's?

(inquiring minds want to know)

I didn't use any stock Mazda sensors, but I believe the temp sensors could be used.  You would have to do the science experiment to calibrate them, but then you could post the results, and be a hero to everyone else :-)  In the FD at least, the oil pressure sensor is a goofy thing, that's most unreliable, so you won't want to try to use that anyway.

I sure hope they last, because replacing them means going back into that EGT/CHT connector on the EM-2.  I grounded the other 2 EGT inputs, and hooked up 8 foot of CHT wire to each of the CHT's.  These are twisted, and soldered on the ends to make a probe.  These are coiled up in the engine compartment now, for use as experimental temp probes.  Unless I find a specific use for them, they won't be permanently connected to the engine.

For the record, I'm going to be monitoring the following with the EM-2:

water temp out of the WP housing
water temp into the WP housing
water pressure
oil temp into the engine
oil temp in the pan
oil pressure
fuel pressure
O2
2- EGT's
OAT
MAP
voltage
Pitot/Static for TAS
both fuel tanks
fuel flow
4- CHT probes for testing various temps
(and everything else I can't remember off the top of my head)

Cheers,
Rusty (off to tame the wild EMU- stay near the phone Tracy <g>)
