I would guess that the difference lies in mixed versus injected oil. Mixed may condense a bit on the combustion chamber wall a bit but will mostly burn away, whereas injected oil is dribbled into the vicinity of the apex seals and may stay cold enough next to the walls to mostly not burn.

Both are indicators that at least the MMO is not being burned. Don't
know if not enough time in contact with combustion gasses or why.

So if it's not being burned, does that mean it's not forming any deposits either?  Heck, you would think it would be preferable to have an oil that could continue to lubricate, rather than going up in flame.
