Can anyone explain to me why there is no > one using an adapter in an airplane? I am already getting inquiries for an > adapter for the RX8. What do the car people see different? > > Richard. Hi Richard; OK, I'll tell you why. I had planned to use one and would still like to, however I'm a modern consumer that likes instant purchases. Cheque or money order is just a plain hassle, especially when converting from a foreign currency. I like to go online, see a good detailed picture and description of the item of interest, then click purchase to pay by either credit card or PayPal to have the amount paid at the current exchange rate and have the item show up at home a few days later. It's easy, almost painless, and no hassle. Only twice during this project have I had to use a money order. Once when I bought my prop from a member of this list and again 2 weeks ago when I bought a Dynon from a member of the RV list. Both times were understandable as I was purchasing from a private individual and not a business, however both times were also a pain in the **s, as I had to leave work early and head into town to get to the bank before closing, pay a fee for a foreign currency money order(I hate banks), then get and address an envelope and wait while it travels across the continent, before the recipient gets it. I know that this sounds whiney, but I'm certain that you'd sell more of them if you had a PayPal link on the ad that you have on Tracy's RWS site. It's not really that expensive of an item, so you would likely pick up a few impulse shoppers that are intrigued by what looks like a great idea as well as guys like me that don't even know where my chequebook is. I've spent allot of money on Tracy's site using PayPal and always appreciated the convenience. A PayPal account is quick and easy to set up online and I guarantee you that if you set one up I'll immediately buy an adapter from you to use on my RV-9... Go Ahead, Try Me :-) S.
