The red line indicates where the water/coolant level was when I
removed the thermostat.
OK, I see what you
meant. If you're going to go to the trouble of installing a plug at the
high point, why not put in a hose instead, and run it to the side fitting on
your exp tank? Put the plug in the lower one that you're using
now.
