If the way Fred packs it for shipping is any indication of how well the mount is made, it should be able to withstand 20+/19- g's. . Glad to see someone like the Conversion Concepts engine mount (www.conversionconcepts.com) since it is the same one I have for my Velocity. I too understood it is based on the Franklin mount, I think the one that Velocity sells. The infamous "Paul Lamar" hates it. I have spoken to Fred Breeze the owner of Conversion Concepts and he seems like a thoughtful, conscientious man. Since I have never learned to weld (hanging my head in disappointment and shame at that fact) I was thrilled to find a ready made solution for a mount. And, I still intend to learn how to weld . FWIW. I can't recommend the Conversion Concept mounts highly enough. I've looked into using a rotary engine for years, but one of the things that kept me from pursuing it was the mount. I couldn't weld, and just didn't think I'd ever trust a mount that I made myself. Fred's mounts are wonderful, and well engineered. You will spent a fair amount of money to get one, but what you get will fit, be safe, and Fred will stand behind it. Fred's also a hell of a nice guy, which is an added bonus. As many of you know, I now have a TIG welder, and would have no excuse for not making my own mount on the next plane. Guess what, I would buy the next mount from Fred in a heartbeat. It's just worth the money to me.
